Tsunami Bike on Display at the HD Museum in Milwaukee This Week
Remember the story of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle that washed up in Canada after drifting across the Pacific Ocean following the tsunami in Japan?
Apparently, Harley-Davidson will honor the Japanese ownerĘs wishes—to display the famous “Tsunami-Motorcycle” at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.
The display will be open to the public on Wednesday, October 24 in Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. There is a member preview event on Tuesday, Oct 23 from 6:30-8:00 pm.
It is reminded that Harley-Davidson offered to return to the owner Ikuo Yokoyama, the motorcycle, fully restored.
Yokoyama 'respectfully declined' the offer instead asking if his bike could be preserved at the Harley museum to honor the victims.
He also denied a replacement bike, saying he shouldn't be singled out when others had lost far more than he had.
