The Ktm Duke 390 is due to be launched in India. However it is already sold or tested in some countries, where a rider has uploaded this video on Youtube accelerating to 130 km/h.
Roughly 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) is 5 seconds and 0-130 km/h (0-81 mph) is 10 secs as seen on the video. Although many parameters can be argued here, this video indicates that one gets a decent performance for an expected low bike price. The power/weight ratio (45 bhp/150 kgs-45bhp/331 lbs) is an answer. Cheers!

2012/10/24.      According to the Indian magazine zigwheels.com, the new Duke 390 will be unveiled at the Eicma motor show in Milan, by the middle of November.
The engine is liquid-cooled, single cylinder, 375 c.c., four valves, twin overhead camshafts one, delivering 45 bhp.

The frame, suspensions and swingarm look the same with the 125 c.c. and 200 c.c. versions, although probably they will be even stiffer. The wheelbase should be quite longer, while the weight is expected to be 150 kgs (331 lbs).
The bike will be manufactured in India, just like the 125 and 200 c.c. versions. It will be on the showrooms roughly in the spring 2013. Bajaj auto is expected to produce a version of the Duke 390 which was the case with Duke 200 and Pulsar 200 NS.
