1) Anthony West banned for a month!

He failed anti-doping test.

Anthony West (QMMF) will miss the final 2012 Moto2 race. The prohibited stimulant found is methylhexaneamine and the sample was taken during the Le-Mans round in (France).

Thus he has been disqualified from his 7th place at that race. Anthony West has the right to appeal within five days from the notification date, that is before November 3. This substance, methylhexaneamine, is contained in dietary supplements and it is used as a stimulant.

2)  Melandri gets 19 months suspended sentence for tax evasion!

The Italian government gets stricter, concerning tax evasion issues and conducting continuous checks and supervision. Marco Melandri has been given a suspended jail sentence, as he didnąt pay tax for his 3.6 m Euros income, between 2003 and 2005.

Melandri invented a fictitious residence in Great Britain, (close to Donnington Park race track), while his financial interests remained in Italy (in his home town Ravenna). Other famous Italians have also been sentenced for tax evasion over the last years, such as Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Luciano Pavarotti and recently the former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who will appeal shortly!
