Dainese confirms searching for an investor
Dainese founder Lino Dainese has confirmed during an interview that the firm is looking for an investor. Dainese admitted that there were talks with a private equity group in the recent past which were not resulted into an agreement.
It seems that Dainese has set a new target in the future to overcome the borders of motorcycling, and expand its activities into more sports, safety equipment at work etc, as global demand for premium motorcycle garment has been decreasing.
According to the latest rumors, the famous Italian firm is for sale. Actually the American website Asphalt and Rubber has published an article describing the changes leading to the potential sale of Dainese.
Could the recession at the western world have influenced iconic motorcycle related product firms? Will the growing Asian markets start now to buy premium motorcycle products? Naturally, time will tell.
